Ruggles

Terms

Last updated 15 October 2026

Ruggles is an app I, James Uduanu, built and run as a Northeastern student. By creating an account or using Ruggles, you agree to these terms, the House rules and the Privacy policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

Who can use it

You need a current @northeastern.edu email to sign up. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s OK to use Ruggles. Ruggles is not run by or connected to Northeastern University.

You are responsible for what you do

What you post, message and share is yours, and so is the responsibility for it. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share. By posting, you let Ruggles show it to the people the app shows it to, for as long as it stays up.

Meeting people

Ruggles helps you find and meet other students, including in groups and at meetups. I don’t screen users beyond checking their email, and I can’t promise anyone is who they say they are or will behave well. Anything that happens when you meet someone, online or in person, is between you and them, and you take part at your own risk.

Accounts can be removed

I can remove posts and messages, and suspend or delete accounts, that break the House rules or these terms, or that put other people at risk. You can delete your own account at any time in Settings.

No promises

Ruggles is provided as is. I do my best, but I can’t promise it will always be up, free of bugs, or that nothing will ever be lost. Features can change or stop.

As far as the law allows, I’m not liable for anything that comes from using Ruggles, including what other users say or do and anything that happens at a meetup. If I’m ever found liable anyway, the most I owe is what you paid to use Ruggles, which is nothing.

Changes

I may update these terms. When I do, the date at the top changes, and if the change is big I’ll say so in the app. Using Ruggles after a change means you accept it.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts.
